Boice-Willis Clinic, P.A., a large multi-specialty medical clinic in Rocky Mount, NC, has an immediate opening for a HIPAA Privacy Manager. This position will oversee the comprehensive HIPAA compliance for the Clinic including privacy policies and procedures; education and training; incident investigation; reporting and documentation; auditing, risk identification; and compliance with federal and state laws. Works closely with the Clinic’s Security Officer and other managers.

Qualified candidates must be self-directed; with excellent organizational and communication skills. Will have extensive working knowledge of and experience with HIPAA laws and regulations; as well as the ability to proactively apply the principles of health information management and project management. Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role. Bachelor’s Degree in health information management, business administration, or health care administration.

Individual will perform receptionist duties to include; answering phones, greeting patients, preparing charts with encounter forms, filing: or cashier duties to include; collecting correct payments, posting charges, receipts, balancing at day’s end and running necessary reports for close out. Charges are to be keyed utilizing CPT and ICD-9 codes.

RCMS certification and Adult and Pediatric experience are required. PACS experience is preferred. CPR certification will be required. 36 hour work week.

Individual will calculate all charges for patients’ visits, collect correct payment amounts, post charges and receipts, research and coordinate correction of all denials. Charges are to be keyed utilizing CPT and ICD-9 codes. Also, responsible for informing patients of outstanding bills, explaining BWC Credit Policy and protocols, and collecting payments accordingly.
