Individual performs a wide variety of duties in assisting the physician with patient care. Must be familiar with hospital procedures regarding admission and discharge of patients. Makes rounds with physician. Ensures proper documentation regarding all patients and hospital procedures. Answers pages and phone calls to physician and ensures they are handled satisfactorily and timely. Professional image and ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
RN or LPN for full-time position in established Internal Medicine physician’s office. Experienced in assessing patients and screening emergencies. Must be personable, well-organized and efficient with strong communication skills. Office experience preferred.
Park West
Individual responsible for the processing of encounter forms, patient demographic information, insurance coverage and CPT/ICD-9-M coding accuracy in a timely and efficient manner. CPC or CCS preferred or 2-3 years experience in multi-specialty procedural and diagnosis coding. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
Dr. Liverman (Nashville)
Individual will perform a wide variety of medical office duties, under direct physician supervision relating to assisting the physician and/or nurse with patient care. Incumbent must be AAMA certified and experienced in triage (ability to assess patients and screen emergencies), maintaining records with accuracy and neatness, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to document within electronic medical record (EMR). (Will populate EMR with past medical history, vitals, chief complaints, and medications.)
Primary Care Center
Individual to calculate all charges for office visits, collect correct payment amounts, post charges and receipts, research and coordinate correction of all denials. Charges are to be keyed utilizing CPT and ICD-9 codes. Also, responsible for informing patients of outstanding bills, explaining BWC Credit Policy and protocols, and collecting payments accordingly.
Rocky Mount Medical Park
Incumbent will monitor imaging schedules for prior authorization/completion of referrals. Create agenda and lead monthly referral specialists’ meetings. Maintain communication and training materials. Fill in when necessary for other referral specialists. Coordinate training of new referral specialists. Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic tests and specialist referrals. Complete disability, state and federal forms. Obtain precertifications, referrals and authorizations as needed for appointments. Knowledge of insurance, ICD-9 and CPT coding.
