Mofoluwake Awe, MD, grew up in Nigeria, where she also attended medical school. There she worked in an outpatient setting in an underserved community for three years before coming to the United States in 2013 to join her spouse, a public health scientist, in Ohio.

She moved to North Carolina in 2016, spending time observing American medical practices at Wake Forest University and East Carolina University. In 2022, she completed her residency at ECU/Vidant Medical Center, joining Boice-Willis Clinic’s pediatrics team the same year.

Dr. Awe concentrates her pediatrics practice on preventative medicine and educating families about healthy lifestyle choices. She has a special interest in obesity and weight issues, as well as controlling asthma and treating ADHD.

Living and working in eastern North Carolina allows her to build close-knit, one-on-one relationships, both in the community and within her practice. She loves to travel the world, watch sports, cook and spend time with her family, including her two children.

“I am grateful for the opportunity given me to provide care for these beautiful kids I see in my office. It is absolutely rewarding to see my patients healthy and thriving through the years, and I am committed to educate and care for all my patients and families on pediatric health-related issues.”
