A Nash County native, Stephanie Boone is an adult geriatric nurse practitioner specializing in the care of chronic kidney disease, as well as many other conditions that are affected by kidney disease.

Stephanie first earned her associate’s degree in nursing at Nash Community College, continuing to work as a nurse through several moves with her husband’s military career. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Winston-Salem State University and managed dialysis units in a business role for several years.

With a desire to get back into patient care, Stephanie again went back to school at Duke University, earning her Master of Science in Nursing — Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care while working as an acute care nurse.

“It’s so rewarding to help our patients with overall health and quality of life issues, along with kidney disease. We help them navigate things like barriers to health and financial challenges. We establish a personal connection and provide a continuity of care throughout their journey.”
